What is DBS · DBS란
DBS is a foundation stone, not a renovation. It is twelve weeks set aside to read the entire Bible — Genesis to Revelation, every book, every era — and to read it slowly enough that what you find can build something. It is not a survey course. It is a load-bearing foundation laid by a young person who plans to spend the rest of their life building on top of it.
DBS는 단순한 개조가 아니라 견고한 기초석을 다지는 시간입니다. 창세기부터 요한계시록까지, 모든 책과 모든 시대를 아우르는 성경을 읽기 위해 마련된 12주간의 시간이며, 그 안에서 발견한 것들이 무언가를 쌓아 올릴 수 있을 만큼 시간을 가지고 깊이 읽는 과정입니다. 이는 단순히 성경을 개괄적으로 훑어보는 과정이 아니라, 앞으로의 삶을 단단한 기반 위에 쌓아 올리며 살아갈 계획을 가진 청년이 자신의 삶에 진리의 기초석을 세우는 시간입니다.

대부분의 신앙인은 평생 성경의 단편들만 읽어 왔습니다. DBS는 처음부터 끝까지, 올바른 순서로 읽어 그 이야기가 하나의 흐름으로 이어지게 합니다.
모국어로 읽는 성경
영혼이 처음 감정을 배운 그 언어로 읽습니다. 한국 학생은 한국어 성경을, 영어권 학생은 영어 성경을 읽습니다. 번역의 우열은 없습니다. 둘 다 각자의 모국어입니다.
분별력이라는 기술
성경적 참 진리와, 진리처럼 들리는 것을 구별할 수 있는 사람이 됩니다. 이런 분별력은 생각보다 드문 능력입니다.

Twelve weeks from now you will have read every book of the Bible. You will have a teachable mind that is no longer easily flattered or easily shaken. You will have a testimony you can tell publicly, in either language. You will know how to sit with a passage long enough for it to speak. And you will be a few inches more humble about everything you used to be confident about.
12주 후면 여러분은 성경의 모든 책을 다 읽게 될 것입니다. 더 이상 쉽게 칭찬에 흔들리거나 동요하지 않는, 배움에 열린 마음을 갖게 될 것입니다. 두 언어 중 어느 것으로든 공개적으로 나눌 수 있는 간증을 갖게 될 것입니다. 성경 구절이 스스로 말해주기까지 충분히 오랫동안 그 말씀과 함께 머무는 법을 알게 될 것입니다. 그리고 예전에는 자신 있게 여겼던 모든 일에 대해 조금 더 겸손해질 것입니다.
